My Dallas, TX water order is on hold for additional documents - what do I do?
Updated over a week ago

How will I know if my order is on hold?

The city will send you an email notifying you that your water order is on hold. This email will also outline why and what actions you need to take to move your order along.

What kinds of documents does the City of Dallas ask for?

The city often asks for items like:

  • A copy of your lease agreement (if you're a renter)

  • A copy of your closing papers (if you own the property)

  • A copy of your driver's license

  • A copy of your social security card

How do I submit my documents?

If the City of Dallas has requested additional documents before it will activate your water service, you can submit documents in the following ways:

By email:

Email your scanned documents to [email protected] and call (214) 670-4182 to confirm receipt.

By fax:

Fax your documents to (214) 670-5609 and call (214) 670-4182 to confirm receipt.
